Teaching Philosophy
I love what I do and spend many hours on the range each week coming up with better ways to help my students learn. By studying the swings of different tour players I can give each student a more exact diagnosis of what swing changes should be made. Modeling a student's swing against a tour player with similar body builds and flexibility allows for a better approach to creating a more efficient swing. Everyone is different and each individual brings with them a different body type and ability level. Whether tall, short, flexible, inflexible, bad back, etc. - these different conditions require very different approaches to golf instruction. I try to build swings based on one's range of motion and athletic ability. I do not try to build text book swings as I don't believe they exist. I will give you the tools you need to improve, but be prepared to step outside of your comfort zone when you practice. If you have countless hours to hit balls and do swing drills your chance to improve will increase. But, if you're like most, and have a family and career, a few hours a week working on specific drills will still yield improvement. Regardless, as a student, making any swing change is a scary thing to do, but the quicker you confront the fear of making a change, the quicker your game will improve.
